It’s the male seahorse that gets pregnant!
Well, not quite true. The male seahorses carry the eggs in a special pouch and “gives birth” to baby seahorses that look just like mini-adults.

 

A male pregnant goldfish is called a “Twitt”!

False!  Goldfish can not get pregnant and they do not give birth to live young.  A female goldfish that is developing a brood of eggs is referred to as being gravid.  However, during the mating season male goldfish do develop pimple like spots on their face and pectoral fins and at this time he is referred to as a Twitt!
